Adaptec Firmware Update
Adaptec makes a bootable image available for the firmware update:
Adaptec Storage Manager Downloads
You can boot off of this image (it did not work over the WAN)
You need a copy of the firmware file on a seperate USB drive
Firmware
. The drive needs to be mounted before you boot off of the above image

SCST Installation
Download SCST via: svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/scst/svn/trunk scst-svn
Newer kernels include a srpt driver that does not work properly. It needs to be deleted from: /lib/modules/3.11.0-14-generic/kernel/drivers/infiniband/ulp/srpt (sub correct kernel)
Make SCST via: make scst scst_install srpt srpt_install scstadm scstadm_install
Copy new srpt driver: cp /usr/src/scst-svn/srpt/src/ib_srpt.ko /lib/modules/3.11.0-14-generic/kernel/drivers/infiniband/ulp/srpt/ib_srpt.ko
Add: scst_vdisk and ib_srpt to /etc/init.d/scst
